Learning Objectives:

This training will help those in contact with children on a regular basis, decrease infectious childhood diseases. During this training participants will:

  • Identify 15 childhood preventable infectious diseases.
  • Define Bloodborne pathogens.
  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of childhood infectious diseases.
  • Demonstrate what measures to take in the event a child may contract one of these illnesses and how to prevent it through basic hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Report certain types of infectious diseases to the health department.

  • A pen or pencil

Requirements:

  • Access to a Laptop or Desktop
  • Internet connection. High speed broadband access (LAN, Cable or DSL) is highly recommended for the optimal learning experience.
  • A graphical browser is required, such as, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
  • An E-mail account that is accessible.
